At Coastal Thread, I’m committed to creating a carefully curated collection of clothing that is thoughtfully sourced, made to be loved, and designed for everyday life. I focus on quality over quantity and make intentional decisions about the pieces I bring into the collection and the way I run my business.

Minimizing Waste

I only order in small batches so I can avoid unnecessary overproduction and be more intentional with the pieces I offer.

By carefully managing inventory and ordering thoughtfully, I aim to reduce waste wherever possible. Any unsold or slightly imperfect pieces are given thoughtful consideration and may be donated to local charities, shared within the community, resold, reused, or recycled rather than unnecessarily discarded.

I also recycle cardboard, paper, and packaging materials wherever possible to reduce unnecessary waste.

Thoughtful Sourcing & Manufacturing

I am very selective about the brands and manufacturers I work with. I look for partners who share my values around quality, responsible production, and creating pieces that are made to be enjoyed.

My collections include thoughtfully sourced pieces from Italy, France, the USA, and other trusted suppliers. I’m proud to offer beautiful fabrics and materials, including Italian linen and quality cotton pieces, with some items featuring certifications such as:

• GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) - a certification for organic fibres and responsible textile processing

• OEKO-TEX - testing for harmful substances in textiles

• PETA-approved vegan options where applicable

Where certifications are available, I look for brands and suppliers who can provide transparency around their materials, production practices, and working conditions.

I choose manufacturers and suppliers who share my commitment to responsible manufacturing, quality, and fair working conditions.

Packaging

Every Coastal Thread order is packaged with care. I use recyclable paper mailers, acid-free tissue paper, and paper swing tags with cotton string instead of plastic packaging wherever possible.

My goal is simple: to offer women comfortable, versatile clothing that helps them feel confident and happy in what they wear, while being mindful of the impact we have along the way.
